💛 Meet Alexa 📥 alexa@ccspeech.com Hi! I’m Alexa Heon, MS, CCC-SLP, a pediatric speech-language pathologist serving children and families throughout New Jersey. I work full-time as a school-based SLP in a local public school district and also provide private speech-language evaluations and therapy outside of school hours and during the summer. I have experience working with children and young adults ages 1–22 across a wide range of communication needs and diagnoses. My areas of expertise include articulation and speech sounds, receptive and expressive language, social communication, speech fluency (stuttering), and overall communication development. ____________________ 📋 Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) I provide Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) in the area of speech-language for students and families seeking an independent, comprehensive evaluation of their communication skills and educational needs. As a practicing school-based SLP, I have firsthand experience with the educational impact of speech and language difficulties and understand how communication skills can affect a student's academic participation, classroom performance, social interactions, and access to education. My IEE evaluations are designed to provide an objective and thorough assessment of a student's strengths and areas of need, along with individualized recommendations to support the student's educational success. Families seeking an IEE are encouraged to contact me to discuss their child's needs and the district's IEE requirements. ____________________ 📝 Private Speech-Language Evaluations I also provide comprehensive private speech-language evaluations to identify a child's communication strengths, areas of need, and appropriate recommendations.
